I'm curious to know who is still doing pre-employment drug screening, and are you including cannabis in the panel? What are the main reasons to support your decision?

Our Drug Free Workplace designation in our Work Comp policy requires us to. Positive results are okay with a medical prescription. It has made hiring, especially in states with legal recreational use, very difficult.

The company that I work for does Drug Screening. I failed the first test because I use CBD!! Second test came back with a pass. Marijuana is legal in sooo many states and hopefully will be legal in more. In my 30 some years in the business, I would rather work with someone who smokes marijuana over someone who uses alcohol . However neither should be used at work!

Our company continues to do pre-employment drug screening, but as of 2022 we no longer test for marijuana.
